In 2005 the idea of mixing food with tempera paint originated when I created techniques to enable Adults with Developmental Disabilities to paint Abstract Art to sell.

Our goal was to have a sensual and fun experience feeling different textures and whiffing a variety of interesting smells while mish mashing food ingredients mixed with tempera paint.

In 2012 a group of seniors created over one hundred paintings using these techniques in a series of classes I conducted. Since then we have had other class sessions producing many unique abstract paintings that have been displayed in a coffee house and a community center.

Currently I am using these methods to create abstract food art on watercolor stock for greeting cards which I sell on the internet.
